Everything works as it should and there is only a little background noise (unavoidable). The only real problem is that due to the way UHF transmission works, the device needs to compress your signal. This works well except when you play a REALLY loud note, in which case it will be completely cut off as if it were muted. I've only experienced this on my plain B and E strings, where the starting note attack was much louder than the sustained note. For many styles of music, and probably many guitars and basses, this will not be a problem. Just something to be aware of.
