It will fade and change color after the first wear.
I wasn't convinced by this product. I bought it to make jewelry to give to friends and thank god I tried it on myself before giving it to them. The color of the metal turned very coppery after an evening of wearing the chain, to the point where even using anti-corrosion pads to clean it didn't help. I do NOT recommend this product at all. To achieve this brass grade, the gilding must be very thin or of poor quality.
