UPDATE: I bought this in May 2016. It is now July 2016. The belt broke. The golden hook detaches, rendering it useless. I used to give this belt five stars, but I'm upgrading it to two. He seemed strong but didn't even last three months. I am very disappointed in the quality because I love the style of this belt. I tried to get a refund but the return window is closed. I can't believe I spent that much on a two month belt. Buyers be careful. PREVIOUS REVIEW It's snug, but it doesn't give me double donuts or an eight - it cinches my waist and makes me look smaller without being fat. The loop that attaches the belt appears to be quite strong. Time will tell if he can handle it. It also looks very classy and expensive. The gold material used doesn't look too flashy or fake, and the leather looks real even if it's not. I ordered another belt from Revain which was half the price and looked so cheap and flimsy. I love belts that thick if they are well made so I will order again!
