Bought before a trip to replace a missing book light. I was immediately struck by how light and flexible it was. Much lighter than my old book lamp which means I can easily use it for paperbacks. Also, the lantern's neck is longer and much more flexible, allowing it to reach even the highest pages without endless adjustments as I read further down the page. The various brightness settings worked well and seemed reasonable. Battery life has been fantastic - far better than any other battery powered book light I've had in the past! My daughter and mother were so impressed with my flashlight that they each bought one before our trip. Our lights didn't work. We are still as happy after the trip as when we first met. If you're still managing a book lamp that's a few years old, go broke and buy that lamp. You will not regret it!
