So here's what you do when it doesn't quite go

So mine went fine at first but I have a thick nose and punchy personality which resulted in my nose ring reaching to the middle of mine cartilage . Since the nose heals faster from the inside, it healed over my nose ring and didn't go away entirely. I didn't stand a chance of throwing it away (because of the arrowhead) and going to the doctor (because I'm cheap and need it fixed before my honeymoon this summer), so I did extensive research. It turns out the answer can be found in the online product description, but I'll also throw in some tips from my research. Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them with paper towels. Towels can contain bacteria.2. Wash your face and avoid the pierced area.3. Using a mug, soak your nose in a mixture of warm water and sea salt for 5 minutes4. Use a cotton swab dipped in saline solution (or more) to clean the inside and outside of your nose, removing any dirt, blood, and debris out of the way. Apply oil (not tea tree oil. It can be irritating if you don't have a keloid) to lubricate it. I used the sweet oil I use to clean dry ears (olive oil with aloe).6. Take a deep breath, count to 3 and DEFINITELY slide that sucker back. The quicker and more determined you treat it, the less it hurts. I was a chicken so I did it in intervals until it worked.7. Clean the inside again with salt water and apply more oil8. If it comes back in during the day, wash your hands and squeeze again, then do the same after cleaning overnight. Until then, he should have stayed. I am infection free and ready for a 6-8 month healing process after which removal will be much less painful.
