I bought this bucket to keep the seeds that we feed the birds. I usually fill the bucket about 3/4 full so it's not too heavy to carry (about 15 pounds of seeds I think). The bucket has a solid construction with a fairly strong handle. As for the plastic buckets, they are of fairly high quality. Also, the bucket is stored on the patio and exposed to the weather, so it has become important to have a tight-fitting (but easily removable) lid to keep moisture out. The lid of this bucket screws into the bottom bucket and seems to provide an adequate fit to keep the seeds dry. All in all, this is a good choice if you're looking for a bucket for similar tasks. highlighted.
