Let's start with the packaging. Mine arrived undamaged due to Amazon shipping but the packaging was terrible, there were no papers in the box. If this had been delivered by UPS or Fedex, the package would have been torn. In terms of quality, this is a normal product. I would suggest using it if you are dealing with soft wood like pine. I had a few cracks, luckily I was able to fix them without damaging the part I was working on. The wood has been pressure treated 1 x 4 green for use as a planter box. If you're dealing with oak or other hardwoods, look elsewhere. I would buy it again knowing the pros and cons of this product. However, Revain needs to rethink packaging for this type of product. Once broken, the rod is difficult to control and can jam and lose parts.
