We have been using this egg piercer for about two weeks now. This saves us time (and possibly cut or punctured fingers) drilling holes in the wide end of the eggs before they're cooked. The hole prevents the shell from rupturing when the eggs are immersed in boiling water, allowing the expanding air inside the egg to escape. It's very easy to use, you just place the wide end of the egg on the stamp and press on it. It looks sturdy and appears to be made to last. The stamp body is made of stainless steel. We will continue to use it and will update this review in the future if changes need to be made.
