Practical and durable egg piercer

We have been using this egg piercer for about two weeks now. This saves us time (and possibly cut or punctured fingers) drilling holes in the wide end of the eggs before they're cooked. The hole prevents the shell from rupturing when the eggs are immersed in boiling water, allowing the expanding air inside the egg to escape. It's very easy to use, you just place the wide end of the egg on the stamp and press on it. It looks sturdy and appears to be made to last. The stamp body is made of…

Small, light and beautiful! Exactly what I needed!

To be honest I was really nervous when I first used it! I don't know why, it's scary. It's a little metal thing that fits in the palm of my hand and will kick the shit out of you if you try to squeeze it. (I may or may not speak from experience!) Definitely better than using a needle.

I've been punching holes in cooked egg shells with a pin for years, but when I saw this product and because it was relatively inexpensive I thought I'd live and get a device that would do the job for me . I'm glad I did because this thing worked way better than my pin. When I first used it I thought something was wrong because I could barely see the hole it was making. This was very different from my thumbtacking experience, which always resulted in a highly visible piece of eggshell being…

BACKGROUND: If any of you have bought organic eggs from Costco, you may have experienced the same frustration I did when it came to hard-boiling them. For some reason, their organic eggs always stick to the shell when you hard boil them, making them a chore to peel if you're cooking half a dozen or more. I've tried methods like chilling or soaking in ice water, but none have worked. After some research I found a forum comment about the same problem and the solution was to use an electric egg…
