Very few of us are ever going to find compression hosery 'comfortable' and after trying several brands over several years, I can safely say that all thigh-highs always fall down to a greater or lesser degree. But there are several problems with this brand that actually makes me question its safety. One point is all thigh-highs should come with 'gripper' thigh bands. They don't work well if you're active but they should at least be there. To market something without them is asking for returns and negative feedback. It's bad enough thigh-highs fall down but what's the point of not even trying? Might as well tell everyone to go out and get a garter belt or leave them in the drawer. What concerns me, though, it that I'm very careful to double check my leg measurements with the manufacturers size chart. I did it again when I purchased these. But these are ga*-tight to the point that they may actually constrict circulation rather than support it -- which could be dangerous for certain medical conditions. And that's if they are staying in their proper position. If they fall down, they tend to bunch in several places that are extremely bad for DVT treatment (just above or below the knee; at the ankle) and begin to cut off circulation. In my opinion, they need to correct their size chart on their packaging because it appears from my experience and many reported comments that they actually run small. As for the thigh-high problem, I can only suggest the use of a garter belt or I sometimes find that thigh compression bands can be used to help hold them up. Be aware, though, that the problem is made worse if you are trying to wear these in a active situation like all day at work or going for walks, playing with grandchildren . . .These might be okay if you ordered a lighter compression or went up a size but for a medical garment, I think extreme care should be taken by the manufacturer to assure proper sizing. Most important, these are the first thigh-high leg compression stockings that I've ever had that can actually cut-off circulation over time. That's too dangerous for me and mine are going back this afternoon. Besides, amazon has one that is much cheaper, works about as well as anything and the sizing/compression are consistent.
