What to do with inkblots

I liked the T-square I got me for years. Eventually it broke so I bought this product to replace it. When my grandson first used it for an art project, the ink rubbed off the numbers on the T-square on his hands and work. That made him very uncomfortable. I solved this problem by spraying both sides of the T-square with hairspray. This will prevent the ink from smearing. Problem solved. Otherwise, T-Square is great. It's subtle, but serves a purpose.
