I am a black woman and my hair is curly for information. I understand everyone's hair is different but this is the ONLY gel I've tried that actually sets hair lol. I can't deny how obsessed I am with it. I went to Walmart and out of laziness I bought a cheap gel for about $3, it didn't work the way I wanted, I literally threw it away and tried to force myself to put it on my hair longer. I decided to come down to Revain and get a big can as I know she will do her best! IMPORTANT FACTOR, it did NOT dry my hair at all, in fact it felt smooth, dry and just ohhh after washing and straightening my hair. as soon as i applied it it did a FULL 360 degrees on my head🤣🤣😃. My husband said my hair became very soft and smelled great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Oh, it helps to have a coarse, stiff brush to style your hair even better
