These things are amazing. Excellent value for money and quality.
I use it to read electricity meters. If they buy binoculars for this they should focus well at close range, say 15ft (for new focus) and then of course as far as possible. They are good in both cases. Just make sure you install them correctly. Focus the left eye, then turn the right eye knob until it is also in focus.
