I bought this monitor arm as a solution to attach my Asus VP248QGL (24 inch monitor that weighs about 10 pounds) to a 31 1/2 inch deep Ikea Bekant desk. It definitely worked! When I ordered this item I wasn't expecting much for the $30 price tag. After all, who would do it? When I received it I was pleasantly surprised. Before I opened the box, I noticed that it had a decent "GOOD SIGN" weight. When I opened it up I saw that it had more metal and volume than I expected. This alone tells you that it must be durable. But we still don't know anything about the quality of the spring tension. It was pretty easy to assemble. I clamped it to my desk "because I want to change the position on my desk without drilling holes for grommets," put the monitor on my arm, made a few small adjustments to the spring tension, and stiffened the movement. hands at the wrists. That did it! VERY solid to hold my monitor and has a GREAT full range of motion. Pros: GREAT PRICE for quality. More "DURABLE AND LONG LASTING" than expected. EASY to assemble and install. GREAT freedom of movement. Wired Control. Cons: Cable management channels can be a bit "COMPLEX". The screws on the back of the monitor could be a bit longer. I couldn't use the pads that came with it. "A LITTLE" shakes when you hit the table. But at the $30 mark, it's MUCH stronger than expected. PRO TIP: Route the cables through the routing channels BEFORE you install the monitor, not the other way around. After installing the monitor and configuring the cables, ALWAYS hold the plastic channels on the mount with one hand while pulling on the cables with the other hand. They will EASILY come loose if you don't. This was the most frustrating part of the whole build process. I'm actually considering maybe adding some zip ties as I'm not sure how well they will hold up after moving the monitor around a bit. All in all: TOP purchase! Great monitor mount. More durable, bulkier and more durable than expected for the price. Wired channels are a little disappointing. I'm willing to pay twice as much for a monitor arm of this quality. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A $30.00 MONITOR!
