Review on 🚪 M-D Building Products 5090 Aluminum Door Sweep DV-1, 36-Inch, Silver, Standard Fin by Joseph Elvis

Bought two of these for the old hallway doors in my house. The rooms weren't heated, so cold air crept out of the crack under the door. I ordered a size close enough to the width of the door (longer than the width of the door). These old doors are not standard sizes. We arrived with no problems. I removed the rubber fin and cut the metal to the width of the door, then pushed the fin back in and installed it. The setting was found. I aimed my fins at the room. I didn't make sure it was level, just that it was level with the floor so the door opened easily and it was as close to the floor as possible. I drilled the pilot holes and installed the end screws first and then moved to the center. They work exactly as you would expect. I had an issue with a door where the floor was so uneven it was impossible to install a sweeper without wedging the door. In this case I was just trying to get it to the ground as hard as possible with a clean swing and I had to put a towel in the remaining gap. NOT a product defect, just note that large uneven gaps will not be leveled.
