the first 2 sets couldn't withstand a light hit with a hammer. The stylus is very weak and bends easily. One even broke inside the button. To fasten them properly, you need to find a way to keep the button and pin in perfect alignment while hammering. For my third set of knobs, I decided to use a pair of vise pliers. It also means I had to glue the button to prevent the pliers from scraping and scraping the metal on the button. This technique worked. It's a simple process and design, but in my opinion the quality of the material falls short. I think this product should get 1 star. I gave 2 stars because it wasn't long enough to actually use the buttons on my jeans. I may update my review later if the buttons fail after use and washing.
