I was amazed and impressed at what a great tool this grater is! I didn't expect it to be this good. Before I bought the Deiss PRO grater I used a grater with lemon zest and grated cheese and I always felt uncomfortable working with this grater. The Deiss grater is easy to use and very easy to clean. The domed surface makes it easy to concentrate the grated material into the bowl below. I got an unexpected bonus with the Deiss grater. I've always had the problem of having to buy more ginger than I need for a dinner project. I solved this problem by chopping the ginger roots into tablespoon-sized pieces, peeling the remaining ginger and freezing it, but when I had to reuse the ginger, grating on a piece of thawed ginger was very messy. I solved this problem by simply grating frozen ginger straight from the freezer. Deiss PRO cuts frozen ginger like butter! It was wonderful! This grater is one of the best kitchen tools I've bought in a long time!
