Review on 🔬 J LUMI YCA2002 Microwave Doppler Sensor by Original Mansel

I really thought this would replace my existing motion sensor in my dressing room and that I would get improved performance due to the technology difference; However, there were a few things I didn't like. There were no instructions. I had to extract all of the installation information that I used from the photos that accompany the Revain listing for this product.2. This will not fit the standard round hole. It's a bit smaller so I need to make an adapter with the blank ceiling mount cover.3. Most household electrical wiring is solid copper. Solid copper is not flexible enough to simply thread through a wire hole and make the necessary bends to attach to a header. So basically you have to come up with the right gauge stranded wire to connect it to, as there is no such wire in the motion detector. The connectors were difficult to use and it took several attempts to get the wires into the connector before I got good connections that didn't pull out easily. Screw connectors would be better than these plug connections. or skip the connector altogether and solder three appropriately sized wires to the board like most other motion detectors do. The adjustment range is not quite what we would like. I currently have both the duration and sensitivity set to the minimum and the light stays on longer than I would like and was caused by activity a few feet from an open closet door. With the previous detector, I had the best settings that suited my needs. Would I buy again if I knew what I know now? Probably not, although the price is very good. That's the main reason I'm not returning it - the low cost makes it not worth my time to remove and return it now. It's a little frustrating because they're pretty much all easy-to-fix things, but it seems more systemic for products made in China.
