I have several other scrapers where the pad is attached to the handle and cannot be replaced. They are bulky and difficult to maneuver between rocks and other decor. I decided to try this with my newest tank and it's great. It's light, the handle length is perfect for my 55 gallon tank, the slimmer profile makes it easy to move around in the tank, and it floats. I love that it comes with a metal blade and a plastic blade, as well as algae pads, and the best part is that you can easily replace pads and blades that wear out. When my other scrapers wear out I will definitely buy more of these.
