Coir is a good choice for birds and I'm generally happy with it. Build nests or line existing ones. They didn't seem to have a hard time pulling the strands out. It's woven tight enough to make period removal and cleaning easier (i.e. bird droppings stay where they are and don't fly anywhere). However, I was concerned that the thicker clumps could get caught in the paws of very small birds, and the bird droppings themselves are very dusty. Every time I take it out there is a thick layer of coconut fiber dust everywhere. Overall this is a good product and I am very happy with it. I got it a couple of times but I always chose the brand that had the cheapest price; After all, coconut fiber is the same for everyone.
