I looked at different types of oil filter wrenches and finally settled on this type. I made sure the size was right for my needs and it was. I've used it on 2 bikes and 3 cars since then. That works great. He grips very well. On my bike the filter was stuck and when it got stuck it started to bend in the filter from being grabbed. I was very pleased. The only time I had problems was with my brother's bike. I don't think it's the filters, but the manufacturer made the filter too narrow. I tried removing the filter in other ways and it was just a struggle. He's since sold his bike so I can't say it was any easier the second time around, although I'm pretty sure it would have been.
