The photos will generally turn out better than those of rivals with a similar range of EGF when shot in good light, but the best quality can only be attained from RAW by mastering the straightforward proprietary Digital Photo Professional utility. With its advantages: a comfortable grip and key layout, a swivel screen with good viewing angles, speed, a strong and quiet zoom (50x), a superior optical stabilizer, support for the RAW format, macro shooting at a distance of 0 cm, a large battery, a low-noise matrix up to ISO 800, and most importantly, excellent photo quality at the maximum zoom. Cons: Marked screen, a bothersome lens cover, a poor camera jpeg, a remarkable aperture range of 3.4–6.5 (I would prefer it to be lower at both wide and telephoto), and only 24 frames per second for recording HD video.
