I was pleasantly surprised at the durability of this product as the structural integrity of this type of suspension tower is usually terrible. You'll always have a limp, limp mess. Although my pockets are full and it hasn't sagged at all, this is NOT a shoe rack for anything more than very thin sneakers and mules/slippers. The actual length of each bag accommodates a larger foot, but the height and width dimensions make it difficult to store women's ankle boots, some heels and of course bulkier athletic shoes. So high marks for support (and I've had great success with bags for non-shoe items) but it's being marketed for shoes. And so I think it will disappoint the average user with its limited size. Although the weight lasts. The cardboard base of each shelf is better than average. But I wear an 8.5 and my goodness even if they only partially fit in my shoes. summer slippers? Of course. It arrived with the typical odor that these "frugal" fabrics suffer from, but the smell didn't linger as long as most. I ordered in gray and it's this neutral shade that just disappears from view which is great because the shoe rack isn't very sexy. For this price I recommend. but ONLY if you understand its dimensions. Also the metal shackle is a little rough and sharp but unlike a similar item I ordered the same day it is at least correctly centered!
