I was actually disappointed with this purchase because the mesh on the front is very soft yes but the webbing on the back was very rough and had a few semi-acute corners that robbed us of the purpose of buying it for comfort. For some reason it also keeps shrinking under one of my dog's armpits, despite trying to adjust the fit. For reference we have a Miniature Dachshund 9.5 and we have Medium. The actual size of him matches his roomy chest, but unfortunately perhaps the mesh doesn't lend itself to a well-adjustable fit, leaving you just choosing between comfortable material and adjustability. There can't be both worlds. HOWEVER, our dog honestly doesn't seem to notice, care, or worry about this, so feel free to use that to refute this whole argument.
