Had to replace one in a Dell laptop that got submerged. After about 20 screws, I replaced the drive, woke up the machine, and installed a fresh copy of Windows on it with no problems. Fairly fast (this 512GB drive is faster than the 120GB drive that was present but never benchmarked). on it since it was upgraded from Win 8 to numerous versions of Win 10 and it was a "clean install" of Win10). Pretty fast, easy to install, format and download. A great price compared to more traditional manufacturers whilst there is only a 3 year warranty which is good enough for this system as by then it will be too out of date to bother. but I hope everything goes well.
