The smooth, weatherproof feel is as expected; but this runs a bit small so I suggest going a size up from your usual, unless you like it tight. The snaps on the one front chest pocket give a solid "snap" and the pocket itself is deep enough to be useful.not just for show. The second chest pocket has a zipper closure and is also deep. The zipper on this pocket and the two side pockets seem to be okay.no gaps, skips, or snags. I'm not a big fan of the back pocket which seems to have been arbitrarily placed as an afterthought. It sit off to the side alone looking like a colostomy bag. Version 2.0 of this vest should remove this unnecessary and oddly-placed pocket.
