Rubs 'til it bleeds - bracelets

I was very happy to use this for my 5k runs - it was a great prize and it was my AirPods, phone, driver's license and my credit card inside. However, I've used this 3 times and got a time of about 2 miles. My hand was starting to kill me and it was because the strip was rubbing on it so hard it was tearing my skin!
