It was worth every penny! I had no idea how much noise reduction affects the quality of the listening experience, but it's very important. The sound quality doesn't quite come close to the high-end headphones from Bose or Sony, but the price is also one of those brands. Even expensive headphones that I've bought in the past break easily on the pitch or roll axis. They don't articulate in any of those directions, which I think is a huge plus; They don't break if they fall two feet, which inevitably happens. Very happy with these headphones!
