Panavise products are legendary in the electronics community. And not for nothing. These are the right size for many small hobby projects and they offer a lot of placement flexibility. They are also just the right weight. Heavy enough to stay in place but light enough to pack away when not in use. They also have mounting holes so you can screw them to your desk if needed. There are just a few things I don't like about this product. First adjust the position of the ball head. That means you can adjust it in any direction by loosening a knob. This is fine if you have both hands free (one to release the grip and the other to position the head). However, if you only have one hand free and a magic wand for a small one-way adjustment, this can be a problem. Another problem I have is when the head is in a position where the adjustment knob and jaw screw handle are on the same side, they will collide with each other. It's probably inevitable with a ball head that has so much adjustment but really isn't that annoying. I still really like this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a small vise to work with details.
