Hey, that's a Motorcraft transmission filter. What could be bad? This is probably the best branded replacement part for this filter and yes you should change the filter when you change the fluid. Be careful, the old plastic gasket holding the filter in place tends to get stuck in place and needs to be VERY carefully pryed out with a knife or even better a small flathead screwdriver. Be very careful not to damage the surrounding pipe. Patience and you will succeed.
