My ASUS laptop is always very noisy because the fan starts up quickly and seems to run all the time and the sound is very loud. Now that I'm working from home, I've decided to invest in an external fan. The rest of the fan works fine. It's very light, with two fans that exhaust too much air for my laptop's fan to not rattle, and it's quieter than my laptop's fan etc. It just plugs in via USB and there's an on/off switch on the back side. . If you put your hand on one side of the laptop, you'll feel the cool air created by the fan. The fan lights up with red LEDs for some reason - you can't see them when the computer is in place, and the case that the fan is mounted in tilts forward nicely, allowing you to use the keyboard ergonomically .
