Installed on my wife's 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser about 2 months ago and has been working great ever since. The pump appeared to be well built - the bearing was nice and smooth and the ribs were thick metal. There were no problems with casting the body. The front was well milled but slightly sharp at the edges. be careful when handling. Installation was easy. You don't get a seal with the pump, but in most cases you install a complete timing belt set, which usually includes a water pump seal. This was my approach, so the lack of padding didn't cause any problems. I put some ThreeBond 1194 liquid gasket around the o-ring pump seal to add a second layer of protection. If you do this, be careful not to apply too much liquid sealant as the excess can get into your waterways and potentially clog your head/radiator.
