They are ideal as meal replacements for people with diabetes, but also very good for the elderly who don't because of a lack of appetite like to eat. This is a moderately thick cocktail, neither too thin nor too thick, with a vanilla flavor. But it wasn't overwhelmingly vanilla. The low sugar scale is good if you're thinking of a drink that doesn't look like artificial sugar (it contains sucralose). But even with sucralose, the taste is not artificial. They're high in vitamins and minerals, making them a good source of protein and a healthy meal replacement. A shake costs about $2.75, which isn't that expensive considering other prepackaged shakes replace bottled meals. The lid opens easily so you don't have to drink it all at once. Just close it and put it back in the fridge. We like to drink them REALLY cold for more of a dessert flavor than a milky taste, but that's just personal preference. You get 12 bottles for $32, not bad for what you get but could be cheaper in the long run. In terms of price and taste, it is comparable to other cocktails.
