My 7 year old great dane has hip dysplasia and is in a great deal of pain. She has trouble getting up and down. This bed is not only super comfortable but the thickness helps her for getting up and down. She is on it constantly. She fights over the bed with her sister as she loves it too. "Rosie" no longer tries to get in bed with me since we've purchased this bed. She stays on all night. I would definitely recommend this bed, especially for large fur babies.
