Everything scratched: accessories and consumables

I just received this and it was covered in scratches and stains right out of the box. Honestly, it's either terrible quality control or a refurbished unit being sold as new. I'm not even sure I trust it to protect my devices the way it's advertised. Even the papers in the box look like they just got thrown away, they couldn't even fold them neatly. I would like to hear from the seller about this. Why "new" unit in this condition?
