These get cold pretty rapidly and stay cold for a really nice cold therapy experience. I like that they are malleable and don't get hard as a rock. I haven’t tried them for heat therapy. I’ve use lots of different cold packs, and these are good. I have several. My only problem is that a couple of them started breaking at the seam relatively quickly and the gel started leaking out. I’ve had 2 packs breakdown over the last month. I went ahead and ordered another 2 pack and noticed that the seam stitching is different. I hope that’ll help them be more uniformly reliable over time. I do use these nearly daily so they get a lot of use. The seam leakage may just be normal wear and tear. I’ve had many other brands of ice packs and many have not lasted as long as these.
