I bought these because I keep losing the back of my earrings and wanted to get additional items in bulk for a reasonable price. I've used these clear plastic backs for a while (like the ones you get on cheap earrings) but they were never my favorite as they don't hold up very well and I almost lost a couple of earrings as a result. To be honest I didn't even look at their sizes before buying because I didn't think they came in different sizes sometimes; I just saw and bought stainless steel in bulk for a great price. They came in a flat padded envelope inside a small plastic bag with an info sticker on the outside, nothing special which is fine. As a result, they ended up being smaller than your standard size. I have many different standard gauge studs (probably 20 gauge) and they are quite difficult to put on. You really need to push the mail through. While it's a little annoying, I'd say having this issue is better than leaving them too loose. If you are looking for a lot of backs for earrings at a low price, this is great.
