Buy it for looks, not a toasted badge.
As others have pointed out, don't expect the logo to appear unless you want your toast to be dark. I replaced a dead toaster so even without the logo it's fun to look at and costs a few bucks more than a cheap toaster. The slots are a decent size and had no problem with bagels or thick toast.
