This is a good fireplace and looks quite realistic, especially for the money, but it has some issues. If someone is sleeping in your house, you cannot use the fireplace, it will wake them up. If you live in an apartment, this will almost certainly annoy your neighbors. Not sure why they did it. 2) They programmed the light to dim and brighten every 5 seconds. I've never seen real fire do this and it makes it a lot less realistic, almost tasteless. There is no benefit in that. This is the aspect that allows you to say right away that this is not real fire. And there is no way to turn it off.
