I have a 4-family house. I work in the service business. The humidity here is very high. I have used these granules in all of the conditioner bowls to control the build up of limescale and the discomfort they get without using these granules. Things that clog the air conditioner drain pipes. We're talking about really nasty things that grow in coil pans and drain pipes over time and they fix that. Are there other similar pellets on the market that work just as well and last longer. I honestly do not know. They lasted about 30 days. This is South Florida, however, and my renters run the AC higher than most, keeping their units between 70 and 74 degrees. As a result, a lot of water constantly flows around the pellets.
