I wanted to swap armored riding jeans (which look ridiculous) for traditional men. I tried three pairs before settling on this one, all three had issues like too tight hips, waist or boots taking off to get on and off. This pair ultimately avoided all trouble and came out at a decent price that didn't break the bank. The cups fit well in all areas and can be adjusted in several areas such as hips and waist. The ankles have a zipper that can be unzipped so you can slip them on without taking your boots off or trying to slip them through your boot stems. Chaps lengthen a bit in the foot when walking (about perfect when sitting on a bike) so checking them both in a seated position and with proper riding boots should be a priority. The leather isn't too heavy, but offers more than enough wind protection and is thick enough. I'm sure it will protect my feet in an accident. The chaps also easily fold and pack into a medium saddlebag when not in use, yet leave enough room for a bandana and gloves to pack with them.
