This will trigger the check engine light and codes

. This will trigger the check engine light and put the gas pedal into "idle mode". I used my scan tablet at work and found out why it is causing the problem because the throttle position at the pedal has a very narrow window of electrical resistance that the ECM is looking for. The wire adds a little more resistance to the circuit, causing the ECM to see higher than normal resistance on the pedal, causing the check engine light and voltage light to flash. I had to turn it off to be able to drive. Now I was very excited the first day I installed it. It seemed like a great way to improve throttle control on my Jeep Wrangler. But I found that in "City" and "Eco" modes the difference isn't noticeable enough for the price of the device. Sport mode was fun, but I find it difficult to justify the need when there are very few differences between Sport and Sport Plus. In Sport Plus mode there's a nice touch of the accelerator, but it feels more appropriate to come to a full stop in order to accelerate a little faster.
