A must have if you have a K&N air filter. I've had the filter on my s2000 for about 40,000 miles and should have done this cleaning a lot sooner if I knew it was that easy. The included instructions are simple and easy to follow. Little can go wrong here. I sprayed the cleaning solution (pump bottle) on very generously and rinsed it off. I've done this cleaning step twice and probably have enough left to clean the filter at least 1-2 more times, although I'll probably only change the filter after that many miles. Why? Because I have OCD. That's why. As for the (aerosol) oil, it can get dirty. I would recommend wearing exam gloves (that's OCD again). I made two light coats on the outside and one on the inside of the cone. Like the cleaning solution, I left this product in the bottle. I could probably get away with just one layer on each side. This product has a great bang for your buck. If cleaning and restoring it to its original state makes you dizzy, then this product is definitely for you. Kudos to K&N for making filters that are so durable and easy to load at a fair price. There is no longer any reason to neglect the filter.
