I'd like to start this review with an opening statement: I'm really fed up with cheap stuff going cheap again. I enjoyed a renaissance of cheap products that were truly amazing, rather than buying from a well-known company for a similar result. For my application (grow tent) the thing just doesn't fit. Whether you're looking to empty a storage container or a gun case, this will likely suit your needs. Do not buy this if you are looking to dehumidify a room or space that could potentially contain a lot of moisture. I'm a bit stunned by the claims this product made, in 5 days it was only able to fill half full in 70+ humidity conditions. Having just purchased an Energy Star certified full size dehumidifier, the full size dehumidifier was able to remove more moisture in the time it took me to box this product while the small unit did it in 5 days. While this makes the dehumidifier work, it almost feels like a waste of time producing and consuming energy. I think buying a renewable dehumidifier for a storage bin or some form of humidity control would make more sense than this purchase. I really hope this review will make some people consider buying it. To get this, I highly recommend you just look at an actual dehumidifier if you want to control the humidity in a room larger than a small bin, or just look around for a dehumidifier solution based on Dissident.
