Review on ๐ŸŒฟ Enhance Your Space with Nearly Natural Artificial Ficus Tree, Green, one Size by Derrick Duck

You may be surprised by my alias "picky shopper "

Let me put it this way: I love wood so much I've spent hours fixing the problems it came with. The packaging was so bad that there was some damage, but luckily I'll never notice the kind of damage once my eye gets used to it. There were chips on the trunk. But the really terrible problem was the extremely strong musty smell that the leaf tissue gave off. Gave me a bad headache. I argued that the brand is widespread, and the smell is characteristic of many products imported from China. With that kind of reasoning and love for the tree itself (realistic in appearance, color, shape, beauty, etc.) I realized that simply sending it back and requesting another #5216 as a replacement wouldn't necessarily solve the odor problem. So I washed it with soap and water in the shower. Yes. And then I dried it in the sun, hoping that the natural ozonating effects of sunlight would further eliminate the smell. Well it worked. No, the smell hasn't completely gone, but the headache has gone. The musty aspect is gone, only now a strange smell that appears less every day! I'll sprinkle some pine scent on it sometime in the future. But at least it's very livable now. So if you order it, you'll be warned. But the tree itself is beautifully built, with a good artistic sense. leaves are dense. You need to place the tree in a larger pot, weigh it down with stones, and secure the pot in the pot with crumpled newspaper. Finally sprinkle some spangum moss on top. The latter is fairly typical when purchasing a bare-bones artificial potted plant. The warning is that if you don't put the pot in another pot, the tree will fall if you put the tree on the carpet. On level wooden floors you need another pot, if only from an artistic point of view. Although I really love this plant. It's like a pet - it just needs a little extra care in exchange for the pleasure of its presence.
