I'm 5'11, weigh 173 pounds and have a fairly thick hourglass bottom. I bought size XL. These pants have quickly become my favourite. I threw away most of my old leggings and bought two. I'm always skeptical of ads that claim high waists. The waist actually goes past my belly button, so the tops of my thighs almost touch my lower back. (No muffin top!) Helps "suck up" postpartum fluff without making you look pregnant again. Multiple well-placed seams provide extra support in all the right places. Thanks to the elastic band at the top, they won't fall off when you run/sprint. So if you play sports, don't worry about pulling them up when playing. sure what it's for, but at least it's a good size. The thickness of the fabric is excellent and fits snugly and hides cellulite. Doesn't shine through. My only complaint is that the inner fabric is smooth while the outer fabric feels combed (slightly fluffy). I wonder if this was done on purpose or if the manufacturers sewed them on the wrong side. I would have preferred the outer fabric to be smooth/smooth to avoid build up from the day (dirty baby fingers grabbing at your knees leaving things behind). Worth the money by far!
