I ordered this to use the driveless optical bay in a refurbished HP 8570p laptop. The hard drive tray interacts adequately with the laptop. * Appropriate. However, not without problems. Aside from casual inspection, the compartment is not suitable for a laptop. But it's not so bad that it bothers me. It works as intended. I now have two available 2.5" hard drives in a laptop. I'm buying another one for another scrapped laptop.
