I've only had this on my handlebars for a few days and I love it. Yes, I had an odor when I bought it, but I didn't notice it while driving. I applied it the night before so maybe the smell is gone after X hours? It was convenient to get in, but it's good. It goes nowhere when you turn the steering wheel. I'm sure it will take a long time. Very happy with this purchase. Installed in my 2010 VW Beetle.
