Review on Pirelli Ice Zero 195/60 R15 88T winter by Mateusz Smoliski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, I advise you to try it.

At 17 radius, this rubber was the most profitable in terms of price / brand. Many complain about the noise. There is something to compare. I had a gislaved nordfrost5 on a VW Golf. At a speed of 70-90 km / h, the noise was in the region of 85-89 dB. Measured with a sound level meter on a smartphone. This tire is for an Audi a3. And the indicators with such a speed fluctuate around 89-95 dB. I can’t say that it’s directly very noisy, when the radio is on, it’s not particularly felt. What worries me more is the behavior of the tires on a non-snowy street. The car brakes too badly and it seems that the braking distance is significantly increased. It is especially felt when the brake is applied moderately sharply. At turns at speeds above 30 km / h, it rolls off the trajectory, although in summer I calmly entered at 60. While there is no snow it is difficult to say something more. But this time I was convinced that non-studded tires are probably more suitable for Hong Kong, unless, of course, there are surprises from public utilities.

Pros
  • So far, only the price
Cons
  • Noise and "behavior" on dry pavement.
