Review on πŸ”¦ Wireless Dimmable LED Closet Light with Motion Sensor, Rechargeable Battery & Magnetic Strip - 78-LED Homelife Lights for Under Cabinet Lighting, Safe Night Light Bar 3200mAh by Rob Sanchez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

One of the best of these rechargeable lights - great overall look

I bought two of these about 15 months ago so this rating reflects usage over that period. I needed a light in the closet under the stairs in my house. There is no outlet in the closet and I use it to store various items that I need access to on a regular basis. There is also a cloakroom here, which I often refer to. With no outlet and no attempt to plug in a permanent power source, I've tried many battery powered flashlights over the years. Most proved inadequate. Some put out a decent amount of light, but the batteries had to be changed frequently. Others just didn't provide enough light. It was a great decision. They are easy to assemble. I placed one so the light was directed straight down and the other on the wall by the door so the light was directed horizontally inward into the open space in the closet. The lights are triggered when I partially enter the closet or even put my hand inside as it is turned on by motion sensors in the blocks. The illuminance is fantastic using two of these in a relatively small space. I can finally open fire boxes without a torch and rummage through papers, for example. Motion detection solved the battery drain problem. As soon as I exit the closet and close the door, the lights quickly dim, minimizing battery drain. In my usage, I was able to last over 12 months on a single charge. Charging is easy too, as each device comes with a charging cable that fits any USB charging source. I deducted 1 star for the following shortcomings: - If you use them in motion detection mode they turn off pretty quickly, so if you don't move you end up in the dark for a moment and then have to wave or move to get to come back Of course, this also has a positive effect on energy savings, but it would be nice if there was a way to leave them unused for a little longer. The reload time is quite long. After they finally ran out of power, it took about 8 hours to recharge. It was more than the advertised 5-6 hours (which in itself is long). Luckily, the red indicator lights up when they're connected to the network, and when they're 100% charged, it turns green. Slow charging isn't a big deal if you're going to leave them overnight, but it's a shame there's no fast charging tech for this item. a little confusing. There is a switch that allows you to switch modes. It's impossible to remember without reading the instructions. A great update would be a way to control what is tagged.

Pros
  • LIGTE POWERFUL LED CABINET
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
